Degradation of Textile Dye by Bimetallic Oxide Activated Peroxymonosulphate Process

The sulphate radical based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are highly in demand these days, owing to their numerous advantages. Herein, the Fe-Mn bimetallic oxide particle was used activate peroxymonosulphate (PMS) for Rhodamine B (RhB) degradation. Three catalysts were synthesized via chemical precipitation method with different concentrations of metals; (1:1), (1:2) and (2:1). best performance shown by (2:1) system at optimized conditions; 96% RhB removed conditions. Scavenging experiments displayed clear dominance hydroxyl pH 3, while present a large amount 7 10. monometallic Fe Mn oxides also confirm synergistic effect that system. application condition real textile wastewater conducted, which revealed works efficiently high PMS catalyst dosage.
